  • Serbian President Boris Tadic campaigned for re-election in Nis, Serbia on Sat. Jan. 12, 2008. Tadic, who is considered a pro-Western moderate faces radical nationalist opponent Tomislav Nikolic in the election scheduled for Jan. 20th. If re-elected Tadic is expected to further Serbia's ambitions to join the EU and take a softer stance on Kosovo's independence from Serbia than Nikolic who is expected to take a tougher stance on EU cooperation.
