In the last weeks of their deployment in Iraq, the 1451st Transportation Company of the North Carolina National Guard lost 2 men to an IED explosion. After returning home, 4 of the surviving soldiers took their own lives.Suicide among returning service men and women has been on the rise, with all branches of the military struggling to get their members the appropriate services

After returning home, 4 of the surviving soldiers took their own lives.. 1st Sergeant Roger Parker served in Iraq with the 1451st Transportation Company of the NC National Guard when they lost 2 men to a roadside bomb.
