  • The entrance to the Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center is seen on Monday,  January 12, 2009. The Cipriani family, which runs ths iconic restaurant, is in a rent dispute with it's landlord, Tishman Speyer, which runs Rockefeller Center. The Cipriani's have vowed to keep the famous restaurant open although Tishman Speyer says they will be evicted and another restaurateur will take their place. (© Richard B. Conceived by artists Nora Ligorano and Marshall Reese, and sculpted by ice sculptor Takeo Okamoto, the 1500 pound statue will stand until it melts away, a metaphor for the results of the unregulated markets on the U.S. economy.
