  • Leroy Williams, a plumber from Springfield, held his American flag over I-5 to in rememberence of the terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001 and to support the troops deployed in Iraq and Afganistan. Williams walked most of the day around Springfield with his flag and heard many people yell and honk their horns in appreciation. "I'm just proud to be an American." Williams said.
