Featured Galleries serve as the leading content on your PhotoShelter website's homepage. Any gallery you choose to feature will appear on your homepage with an image preview, as opposed to simply being listed on your site.

Because this page is often the first that will be presented to new site visitors, we recommend that you choose to feature galleries that best represent you and your body of work.

How to Feature a Gallery

You may designate a gallery as featured from any of the following areas:

1. Your gallery list (click "Feature a Gallery")
2. An individual gallery. Select a gallery from your list, and click "Feature on my homepage".
3. "My Homepage" page customization. Click "Add/Edit" to make changes; any already featured gallery will display inline on this page.

Any of the above areas trigger the same basic window where you can make your selections:

You'll note that there are two types of featured galleries, separated by size.

• Large Featured Galleries can be 500px-1000px, depending on what you've chosen for your Screen Image Size. You may choose up to 6 galleries to feature at the large size.

  Please note that if you choose your featured gallery to display on your homepage as a slideshow (instead of a large static preview image), only one gallery will display at a time; the gallery that displays will be randomly selected when the page is loaded.

• Small Featured Galleries can be 100px-200px, based on the Thumbnail Size you choose. You may choose up to 15 galleries to feature at the small size.

To add a gallery as featured:

1. Choose the gallery from the left hand column, either by typing the name into the field or using the "browse" button to locate it. Featured galleries must have a public visibility; non-public galleries will not appear in this list. If you've come to this window from a specific gallery, you will not see a choice of galleries.
2. Click "Add as Large Featured Gallery" or "Add as Small Featured Gallery," depending on your preference.
3. If you're adding multiple galleries, you may drag and drop them to change the sequence in which they appear.
4. Once you're done with your selection and have adjusted the sequence to your liking, click "Save Changes" to commit.

FAQ:

What happens if I change the visibility of a Featured Gallery?
All featured galleries must have a visibility of "Public." If you change the visibility of a featured gallery to anything but public, it will automatically be removed from your homepage. Similarly, if you delete a gallery that you have designated as featured, it will automatically be removed from your homepage.
