Export Galleries to Other Sites

Overview

Save yourself time and increase your exposure by exporting your galleries from PhotoShelter to these sites:

Exporting a gallery

  1. Go to the gallery you'd like to export.
  2. On the left hand side, click "Facebook/Flickr/Social" from the "Export Options" menu

  3. Follow the instructions for the appropriate site

Facebook

Facebook

Facebook is a social networking site of over 300 million members. Through our integration, you can either upload images to a new album in Facebook, or you may post a link on your Wall that includes thumbnail previews for the first few images in your gallery, all of which will link back to their homes on your PhotoShelter site.

By clicking "Connect," you will be prompted via a pop-up window to log into your Facebook account. (If you are already logged into Facebook within the same Internet browser, you will not be prompted.)

By default, no images that you upload to Facebook will be watermarked, but if you check the "Watermark Images" box, we will apply the watermark you have on file to the images that you are sending.

Please note that Facebook has a 200-image maximum for any single export, so if your PhotoShelter gallery exceeds 200 images, only the first 200 will be sent.

Example 1. A "Wall" post provides a link to your PhotoShelter gallery, and does NOT upload the images to Facebook.
Example 2. Uploading images to Facebook creates a new album with the same name as your gallery. You must approve the images on Facebook because they are coming from somewhere other than Facebook.

Post to Flickr

Flickr requires you to login and allow PhotoShelter to transfer photos. You need a Flickr/Yahoo! account to use this feature. You need to set your export options before you click the "Export to Flickr" button.

The first time you use the feature, you will be taken to the Flickr login screen.

After you successfullly login, you will have to authorize PhotoShelter as a third party application to post to your account.

Once you have authorized the application, the transfer will begin immediately. There will be no real-time indication that the transfer is occurring. You can login to Flickr to see the images in your photo stream. Note: your Flickr privacy settings determine whether images are public or not.

SportsShoooter

SportsShooter is a community of top sports photographers around the world. Enter your username/password. The mechanism will only export the first 10 images of a gallery at a fixed size of 500 pixels per SportsShooter's requirements.
