What is the advantage of using a ClientPlus gallery over a normal gallery? The ClientPlus gallery was designed with a subscription-based service in mind. For example, you might create a stock library filled with hundreds or thousands of images. You might sell a "subscription" service to this gallery for a fixed fee and unlimited usage.
The ClientPlus gallery is listed in a special area away from the normal gallery invites. Images within the ClientPlus gallery do not need to be publicly searchable. And unlike the normal galleries, there is no way to accidentally toggle the visibility of the gallery from "invite only" to some other status. ClientPlus galleries are always "invite only" by definition.
If you are assembling a gallery for a single or just a few number of users, then it's probably advantageous to use a normal gallery.
What is the advantage of using a ClientPlus gallery instead of a lightbox?
Lightboxes were designed to be inherently collaborative. You will find features like ratings, comments, etc in the lightbox which you won't find in the ClientPlus gallery structure. If you don't need a collaborative environment, then the ClientPlus gallery is a better choice.
