Viewing Customer Carts

Enabling E-commerce on your website increases the chances for a quick sale. PhotoShelter allows you to view what images that your potential customers have added to their carts, and gives you an easy way to contact them.

View by Cart

The default view shows you carts by customer. In instances where a customer has logged in and added an item to their cart, you will see their name appear in blue. You can click on the name to send them a message.

Some entries will appear as "anonymous" because PhotoShelter, like most e-commerce systems, allows customers to add items to their cart without providing identifying information until they are ready to pay. In these instances, you cannot contact the customer.

Moving your mouse over the name of the image, will reveal a small thumbnail for that image.

Cart Total

The value of an individual customer's cart appears in the 4th column.

Last updated

Carts from named individuals remain indefinitely. However, carts of anonymous individuals are automatically purged after 60 days.

Total value of carts

The total value of all the active carts is displayed in the upper right. This is the potential value. Like any marketing funnel, your actual conversion against this theorectical value will generally be substantially lower.

Export as CSV File

You can download the list of images and buyers as a CSV (comma-delimited) file, which can be opened in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet programs. This will allow you to sort the columns and keep a historical record.
