A worker hired by the government demolishes the home where Ivanilda De Salles, 44 (not in frame) lived with her family in the Jardim Edite favela in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 11 March 2009.  The government is trying to get the residents of the favela to leave their homes so the land, which is adjacent to wealthy areas, can be redeveloped. The vacated homes are torn down minutes after the families move out.
