A building in the 23 de Enero barrio in Caracas.  This building, along with 37 others, was constructed by General Marcos Perez Jimenez who organized a coup in 1952 and later installed himself as president of Venezuela. Jimenez named the barrio "December 2"  after the date which he staged the military coup. Years later, residents renamed the barrio "23 de Enero" (23 January) for the day Jimenez was overthrown in 1958.
