Texas Capitol: The Ten Commandments
The Ten Commandments are displayed on this 6-foot high granite monument on the grounds of the Texas State Capitol. The monument was donated to the state in 1961 and became the focus of a "separation of church and state" lawsuit in 2005 that went before the Supreme Court. The justices determined that no violation had taken place, and voted to keep the monument.
