Bio
Many believe the panoramic view is the way humans see naturally.
I’m not sure if all people see this way but I know I do.
And there awaits a wide world to be seen.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Some scenes I wander across are too breathtaking to be captured in a fraction of a second. These special places often require my eye and camera to be fixated for minutes at a time. I often allow the image to record the natural movement within the environment. Whether my vision is chasing the motion of a walking man or calming the crashing of ocean waves, I see a panoramic world of infinite land, water, sky, and light waiting to be discovered. I do so with eyes wide open in an endeavor not to miss the next natural wonder through the trees or over the hill.
So that others may share these moments with me I capture panoramic photographs using a Hasselblad XPan camera. I expose Fuji transparency film which I then scan into a high resolution digital file. After making subtle contrast and color balance adjustments each image is professionally printed using state of the art equipment. Specific attention to detail is given to each image to ensure the natural beauty of each scene is truly represented.
