With over 15 years of experience it's hard to say I am just a photojournalist. Having always wanted to understand all aspects of the news-gathering operation, I became immersed in industry.
Photojournalist. Photo editor. Writer. Copy editor. Page designer. All positions that have helped me create a solid and well-rounded understanding of industry - from the photographer's needs to the individual at home looking at the pictures.
Over the years, I have continued to learn, improve and refine my abilities while embracing developing technologies. It is now with greater clarity and focus that I am ecapsulating my experience toward the goal of bringing back the best images I possibly can.
A native of the West Coast, Michael currently lives with his wife, Dawn, and their two daughters, Rachael and Riley, in Morro Bay, Calif. Free time used to be spent hiking, biking, climbing and exploring. Now it's mostly spent happily chasing his daughters as they climb, hike, bike and explore.
