Andrew Gombert is a freelance photojournalist based in New York City.
Andrew covers both news and sports. He has photographed numerous major sporting events including the World Series, FINA Aquatics World Championships, NBA Finals, U.S. Open Tennis, the 2006 winter Olympics, the President's Cup and many other major golf championships.
He covered the 2004 Presidential campaign, traveling with several of the candidates, and he worked on the 2002 Olympic Torch Relay for Kodak. He regularly covers the United Nations both editorially and for the UNDP (United Nations Development Program).
Clients include the European Pressphoto Agency, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Nike and Landov. His work has been published in various national and international publications such as Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, New York Magazine, the New York Post, Corriere della Sera, Die Welt, The Independent and El Pais.
