Véronique de Viguerie, 29, free-lance photographer represented by WPN agency, worked and lived for two years in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Since 2006, she is covering different places such as Lebanon, Somalia, India, Bangladesh, Israel, Kashmir and Africa. Her work is regularly published in Newsweek, New-York Times magazine, Stern, Paris-Match, Géo, Figaro magazine, Marie-Claire, The Guardian, the Republica etc.
In 2006, she published with Hachette her first book about Afghanistan:" Regards Croisés".
Véronique won the Student Picture Editor Award in 2004 and was finalist at the Paris-Match young photoreporter of the year.
In 2006, she won the Canon prize for the Female Photojournalist of the year and also the Lagardère grant for the Young Talent. This year, she arrived at the second place at Bayeux Prize for the best war photoreportage and she won the young photographer prize at Anger festival.
