Tom Lynn has been an award winning photographer for over twenty years. He is a staff photographer for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He has also been featured in many internationally recognized publications, including: Sports Illustrated, New York Times, TIME Magazine, Newsweek, and National Geographic.
He was a member of the Journal Sentinel team that was a Nominated Finalist for the 2003 Pulitzer Prize.
Some of the larger sporting events he has covered include: the College World Series, MLB World Series, The Final Four, NBA Championship, Super Bowls, Indy 500's, Kentucky Derby's, as well as the Winter and Summer Olympics.
Some of the larger news story include: all Presidential Campaigns since 1984, Hurricane Rita, events following Hurricane Katrina including the Mardi Gras Festival, and he extensively covered the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Tom is also involved with environmental photojournalism projects that involve changes that effect both humans and animals. Environmental projects include: his coverage of Chronic Wasting Disease in deer in Wisconsin, which was the project that was a Nominated Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2003. The Great Lakes water crisis, which includes the shortage of water in the western states, pollution in the Great Lakes, The St. Lawrence Seaway, and invasive species. Tom has worked very hard to help preserve the environment that has inspired so much of his photography.
