PhotoShelter Announces New CEO: Andrew Fingerman

Co-Founder Allen Murabayashi shifts to Chairman of the Board

New York, NY, May 2, 2012 - PhotoShelter (, PhotoShelter, the leader in photography portfolio websites, sales, marketing and archiving tools announced today that Andrew Fingerman will be named the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Andrew replaces PhotoShelter Co-Founder Allen Murabayashi who has led the company as CEO since its inception in 2005. Murabayashi will be moving to the Chairman of the Board role, focusing on strategic vision and an intensive schedule of photographer events and PhotoShelter speaking engagements.

Fingerman has served as PhotoShelter’s Vice President of Marketing for 4.5 years. He’s been responsible for the evolution of the PhotoShelter brand and the continuous growth of PhotoShelter customer base, which now stands at 74,000 photographers. Fingerman conceived and oversaw the development of PhotoShelter’s library of 20+ free photography business guides, the company’s popular webinar series, and has built and maintained strong relationships with the major photography industry trade associations.

Prior to PhotoShelter, Fingerman was a Senior Product Manager with OPEN, the small business team at American Express, handling customer marketing for the Centurion, Platinum, Gold and Green charge cards. Earlier in his career, Fingerman held a variety of marketing, public relations and consulting roles, starting with political campaign management. He holds an MBA from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business, and a BA from University of Michigan.
