PhotoShelter Libris Cloud Media Library Gains Significant Traction with Major Client Wins

Destination DC and Cleveland Metroparks among 40+ new clients to accelerate visual storytelling and drive content marketing efficiencies with Libris

New York, NY - June 18, 2015 - PhotoShelter (http://www.photoshelter.com), the worldwide leader in cloud-based image asset management, today announced it has experienced 43% growth in Libris users since formally launching its new cloud media library service in January. The company announced that Destination DC and Cleveland Metroparks are among more than 40 new clients who have realized significant benefits from cost savings and increased capabilities by capitalizing on their visual media content since switching to Libris.

"We are thrilled to know that Libris is delivering real, measurable value to content marketers across many vertical industries," said Andrew Fingerman, CEO of PhotoShelter. “Client feedback has been overwhelmingly positive in validating our decision to launch an affordable, cloud-based, image asset management solution. Libris is clearly delivering on its promise to provide powerful image asset management capabilities that can be easily implemented across teams to help organizations, store, manage, access and collaborate with their visual assets.”

Destination DC Organizes 28,000 image assets and accelerates visual storytelling

Destination DC serves as the lead organization to successfully manage and market Washington, DC as a premier global leisure convention and special events destination. By developing and executing centralized and cohesive sales and marketing strategies, Destination DC generates economic development for the city through tourism and meetings.

“Destination DC is the convention and visitors bureau for the entire city – so we receive a lot of photo requests. We want to ensure we provide the best and richest imagery that conveys all the wonderful experiences we have to offer our domestic and international visitors. With more than 28,000 photo assets, we needed a clean and concise system that would help us manage them quickly and efficiently – especially as we continue to expand our photo and video collection. We also chose to work with PhotoShelter Libris because it’s not just an anonymous system; it’s a partnership with a great team that allows us to efficiently organize our assets.” Marquis Perkins, Creative Director of Destination DC.

Cleveland Metroparks - Saving Hours of Labor on Metadata Tagging, Image Organization and Search Capabilities

Cleveland Metroparks is an extensive system of parks in Northeast Ohio. The park district’s 18 reservations cover more than 23,000 acres which include hundreds of miles of walking, bicycle, and bridle trails as well as numerous picnic areas, seven nature/visitor centers, eight public golf courses, countless fishing spots and the nationally acclaimed Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

“At Cleveland Metroparks, our biggest priority was to organize all of our archived photos that contained zero metadata. After going through thousands of photographs, we were able to easily upload them to Libris and keyword entire galleries at once, saving us many hours of labor. We also needed a platform that employees could access from anywhere and easily search for what they needed. Now, our entire image database is searchable with relevant keywords.

Libris has also introduced better collaboration across our team. For example, Libris’ lightbox enables me to share all the images from a shoot with our marketing team and allows them to make their final selections on-the-spot. This way, I instantly get feedback from the team without unnecessary back and forth. All in all, Libris offers the best functionality for the best price. It’s clean and easy to use. A senior graphic designer literally came to me and said ‘where has this been all my life?’ That makes it not just a win for Cleveland Metroparks but for me personally and professionally as well." Kyle Lanzer, Photographer, Cleveland Metroparks.
