Libris Hires Travel Industry Leader David West, Invests In Helping Travel Brands Get More from Photos & Videos Through Visual Storytelling
New York, NY -- April 21, 2016 - Libris by PhotoShelter, a simple and powerful digital asset management platform for visual content, today announced the hire of award-winning travel industry veteran David West.
West joins the Libris sales team as Director of Travel Solutions. He brings experience as a professor in marketing and hospitality at Temple University School of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Drexel University School of Business, as well as a background in destination marketing. West led marketing efforts for Bucks County Conference and Visitor Bureau and Pocono Mountains Visitor Bureau, and served as Vice President of Travel for Michigan Economic Development Corporation, where he oversaw the organization’s well-known Pure Michigan tourism campaign. In 2011, he was named one of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International’s Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing.
West will use his background and passion for visual storytelling to help brands in the travel industry strengthen their visual media libraries. He says digital asset management will help destinations, hotels and attractions ensure their viability in the marketplace.
